IP Club Member Forum Management Rules

1. General

1.1 IP Club Member Forum (hereinafter referred to as ‘Forum’ or ‘the Forum’) is a communication platform for technical exchange and interaction for IP industry technology participants and opinion leaders. The Forum is operated by Huawei Technologies Co.,Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Huawei).

1.2 This Rule additionally addresses the rights and obligations concerning your activities in and our management of this Forum, subject to the provisions in “ IP Club Terms of Use” and “Membership Handbook” you agreed to when applying for membership of the IP Club Forum (collectively as “the Rules”).

1.3 The Rules is effective upon your agreement to the “IP Club Member Forum Management Rules” before sending out the post for the first time. Please read this Rules carefully, especially the provisions that have a significant relationship with the users’ rights and interests and involve the exemption or restriction of Huawei’s responsibility.

2. User account and password

2.1 Subject to the “IP Club Terms of Use”,if you use an inappropriate nickname and avatar, the Forum reserves the right to disqualify the user.

3. Rules for Posting

3.1 Users have the right to raise any questions or express their opinions in their posts or comments in the Forum in compliance with the code of conduct herein.

3.2 Users can gain bonus points according to the bonus point rules of the Forum or by participating in activities.

3.3 When using the Forum, users shall comply with all the applicable EU and national laws, regulations, and policies.

3.4 you agree to abide by the following rules:

(1) do not use the Forum for any behavior that may adversely affect the normal operation of the Internet;

(2) do not use the Forum to transmit any explicit information, including but not limited to harassment, slander, abuse, intimidation, or in a manner that infringes any intellectual property rights of any kind;

(4) do not post content that is irrelevant to the IP industry. Non-technical discussions and unauthorized reposting are not allowed in the Forum, including the following:

creating non-technical discussion posts, including but not limited to enormous discussions on entertainment, gossip, and valueless content that falls out of or beyond the scope of technology;
unauthorized reposting, including but not limited to reposting a post that is not annotated with the source or of which reposting is not expressly permitted.

(5) do not interfere or attempt to interfere in the normal operation of any function of the Forum;

(6) do not avoid, try to avoid, or claim to avoid the content protection mechanisms or data metric tools built in the Forum;

(7) do not use the Forum in any way to infringe Huawei's commercial interests, including but not limited to placing commercial advertisements that are not permitted by the Forum.

3.5 You undertake not to post any material to make contributions that are considered inappropriate. In particular, none of your contributions may contain the following:

Obscenity;
Pornography;
Reproduction or recognition of violence, racism, discrimination;
Material that is threatening, abusive, harassing, stalking, or defamatory; or is deceptive, false, misleading or fraudulent;
Viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another person's computer;
inciting ethnic hatred and ethnic discrimination, and undermining ethnic unity;
insulting and abusing the images of national heroes, denying the deeds of national heroes, or beautifying the wars of aggression;
Material that violates applicable laws and/or rights of others (e.g. trademarks, copyright, unfair competition laws, etc.);

3.6 Users shall not use the online services provided by the IP Club website for the following activities:

accessing the computer information network or using subsequent resources without permission;
deleting, modifying, or adding the functions of the computer information network without permission;
deleting, modifying, or adding data and applications stored, processed, or transmitted in the computer information network without permission;
intentionally producing and spreading malicious programs such as computer viruses;
other behavior that endangers the security of the computer information network and interferes with the online services in the Forum.

3.7 You agree to not abuse product functions to perform operations that affect user experience, endanger platform security, or impair other people's rights and interests, including the following behaviors:

(1) impersonating other users or setting up fake accounts intended to mislead other users that they represent or are related to others or other organizations through personal information such as avatars and usernames;

(2) posting spam advertisements containing content about sales of products, provision of services, and promotions, including but not limited to the following forms:

spam advertisements;
malicious or deceptive external links, such as unclear and redirected links;
large volumes of SEO promotion links, products, and brands.

(3) conducting fake interaction between accounts, or posting the promotion content and related transactions that interfere with the Forum order, including but not limited to the following forms:

purchasing machine registration accounts or manually manipulating data about the followers, posts, or replies of the account to forge the account's influence in the Forum;
using machines or malicious programs to manipulate or manually manipulating an account to post, reply, vote, or participate in a prize redemption or similar activity.

(4) carrying out marketing activities by illegal means which severely affect user experience, including but not limited to the following forms:

reposting other people's content in a irregular way or in a large scale while adding marketing content to said content;
posting marketing content containing deceptive material, such as forging the experience and impersonations;
using special symbols or images to avoid the advertisement content review;
registering and using a Forum account in bad faith, including but not limited to machine registration, frequent registration, batch registration, and abuse of several Forum accounts.

(5) repeated posts that affect user experience, including but not limited to the following forms:

meaningless garbled characters and numbers that are difficult to identify and affect reading experience;
same or similar requests to others sent by means of comments, @ others, or private messages;
content that contains potential risks, or using third-party websites to forge redirection links, such as phishing websites, Trojan horses, and virus websites;
malicious confrontation acts, including but not limited to using variants and harmonics to avoid security review, or any other act that knowingly violates laws, regulations, and Forum norms.

3.8 In the event a user violates rules 4.5 to 4.9, the user shall be solely liable, indeminify Huawei from any claim, law suit or damages incurred, and actively take all possible remedial measures to protect us from such claims and lawsuits. In the meantime, the Forum operator has the right to take one or more of the following measures without notifying the user and assumes no legal liability to the user or any third party. Where the Forum or its partners (hereinafter collectively referred to as "we") are subject to any complaints, reports, inquiries, claims, or lawsuits, or any loss to our reputation or property due to a user's violation of the aforementioned rules, the user shall;

deleting any information, materials, or content that does not comply with any rules specified hereunder;
disconnecting related information, materials, or content from the Forum;
temporarily or permanently banning or restricting the account from using any functions or services;
adding the user to the Forum blocklist; preventing any application for registering an account on any other platform operated by the Forum operator using the same user information; and stopping all forms of cooperation with the user;
complaining and/or reporting the user's illegal acts to a third party;
reporting the user and subsequent dishonesty information to the credit investigation department;
reporting the user's illegal acts to the competent authority, and assisting the competent authority in investigation and holding the user reliable;
other measures specified hereunder and in laws and regulations.

3.9 Users agree and understand that the Forum itself acts as a platform that provides online services and facilitates subsequent operations and interactions. Any information, texts, software, music, audios, photos, graphics, videos, messages, or other materials that are uploaded, sent, or transmitted via instant messages, thumbnails, links, compressed packages, emails or any other means within the Forum are the responsibility of the users who provide and use such information. . Therefore, the validity, correctness, integrity, and authenticity of the content within the Forum cannot be guaranteed. Users understand that they may be exposed to unpleasant or inappropriate content when using the Forum and that Huawei is not liable for any damages caused as a result of any usage. Users agree to judge the content themselves and solely undertake all the risks.

3.10 Users agree and understand that if the content posted by them discloses cyber security information such as accounts, passwords, IP addresses, and logs, or contains inappropriate words but no behaviors prohibited herein are performed, the forum administrator has the right to lock the post and modify the content after obtaining necessary consent.

3.11 Users agree to endeavor to post content under the correct category. In case of an inappropriate category under which a post is created, the forum administrator, for purpose of providing convenient search services, has the right to modify the category by sending a notification to the user thereafter, and the user has the right to contact the administrator and appeal.

3.12 To regulate the content posted in the Forum and provide a friendlier environment for users, the Forum administrator can delete duplicate content posted by the same user after obtaining the user's consent.

3.13 Users agree and understand that to provide more accurate recommendation and search services for Forum users, the Forum administrator will add product or feature attribute tags to posts for intelligent recommendation and filtering.

3.14 Users agree and understand that the Forum administrator has the right to highlight a post, and also has the right to undo it at their discretion.

4. General provisions

4.1 Nothing contained in this Rules shall be construed as creating a joint venture, partnership, agency or any other relationship other than the purpose of this Rules between the users and the IP Club Member Forum.

4.2 If some of the provisions of this Rules are deemed invalid for any reason, such invalid terms do not affect the validity of the other terms and such invalid terms shall be deemed non-existent from the beginning.

4.3 The IP Club Member Forum reserves the right to transfer any of its rights or obligations in this Rules or change it this with appropriate notice.

4.4 All headings in this Rules are for convenience only and do not affect the meaning or interpretation of any part of this Rules.
